My favorite Taco Tuesday salsa recipe by far is my Creamy Salsa Verde! I keep wondering when my family is going to tell me they are tired of it, but luckily, I think they love it as much as I do.
- 4-6 Tomatillos
- 2 Cloves of Garlic
- 1/2 Lime Freshly Squeezed
- 1/3 White Onion
- 1 Handful of Cilantro
- 1 Avocado
- *Optional* 1/2 Jalapeno
Peel off the papery outside layer. Rinse. Cut each tomatillo in half and place them cut side down in a glass baking dish. Broil on high for about 6 minutes (until the tops turn brown). Allow them to cool.
In Your Food Processor:
Mix the tomatillos and all other ingredients in your food processor. Blend to the consistency you like best. I love my Ninja Food Chopper Express for making recipes like this! It is small, easy to clean, and gives me the option to chop or blend smooth.
