There is something so incredibly magical about the newborn and baby phase. It is almost impossible to put into words what it feels like the moment your little one is first placed in your arms. The snuggles are the sweetest. Baby smell is one of the best smells in the world. Baby coos are the greatest noise. Feeling soft baby skin against your own feels like nothing else. The first time your baby smiles at you, you realize that image will be in your mind for the rest of your life. The love flowing from every ounce of your being is overwhelming!
But it is incredibly important to remember that as moms all the good stuff is great, but there are many other factors overwhelming us. Will I ever sleep again? Why do I cry so much now? What if I make the wrong decision about (xyz)? Am I producing enough milk? When do I need to introduce solid foods? How do I treat diaper rash? Is a pacifier a good idea? Shouldn’t my baby be rolling over by now? Why was my baby great with naps, but now is refusing them? Teeth? Ahhh! Teeth!!? The list goes on and on.
It is important to have plenty of support during this phase of growing your family, whether it is your first, second, or sixth. Every baby is different. It does get easier with each baby to trust yourself, but there are still always challenges and questions. My goal is to give as many tips, tricks, and encouragement as I can to be an additional resource for you!
